There were streams all over the city - I think Karori has one of the largest, Most have been culverted 'under-grounded' and most are 'unhealthy' This one ran from wetlands (the basin) to the sea right down the centre of the terraces. Evidently the burst pipe last week has produced another version.
Envious I gave my ticket to a friend - who like you was transported and gifted me with a ticket to La Mer next week - and I am excited.
Re Covid I'm still cautious - even now long past the 'don't touch to swings' stage. I stayed home to avoid annoying people with my sniffling and sneezing but more to avoid wearing an 'It's just a cold" sign around my neck though not many care and hardly anyone is cautious.
PS - there's usually a very short line for the Harry Potter staircase loos-tho the stalls are so narrow even the svelte may have to stand on the seat to open or shut the stall doors.
You did the right thing, Susan - it was kind of you to gift your ticket. I've never been to the Harry Potter toilets (haw!). Those staircases are always such a crush
Practical help here. ABC,they run in order. Allen, Blair, Cambridge (the closest one on that side, then Kent, the odd one out, runs back up the other way)
PS we call the streets BLALLEN so we never get it wrong 🤣🤣
The pelvic floor comment deaded me. 🤣🤣🤣
Brilliant, Leah. Felt like I was at that amazing concert with you. I wonder, what WAS the story of the man with the black eye and the bread buns.
I wish we'd gone together, Wendy! And yes - I wish I'd asked. I'm sure he would have told me
"I believe that in the concert-going classical community, this is called rawdogging". Comedy gold
What a wonderful description of the concert! I couldn't go but reading that I almost felt as though I had!
I'm so glad, Sharon! By the way RNZ Concert is broadcasting Vengerov playing the Sibelius live tonight with the APO! It's from 7.30pm. SQUEAK
PS - Re Kent and Cambridge Terraces - Bring back the stream!
There was a stream? Good Lord
